Excerpt from a facebook conversation.

Me:	A girl smiled at me today, a really beautiful girl that didn't look like she was an idiot or pothead or anything like that
Me:	but I didn't smile back
Me:	because I assumed that there was something wrong with her and it'd be a waste of my time to even give her the smallest of courtesies.
Me:	But then I thought, what impact might that have had on her day; if she smiled at some boy she thought was cute and he just looked the other way. Something as simple as that could ruin my whole week if the situation was reversed.
